I can’t believe I’m writing this… my TEDx talk is live! For years, I’ve watched incredibly smart people hold back from sharing online because of one thought: “What will people think of me?” Every time we publish online, we’re stepping onto a digital stage. It feels vulnerable. But there’s a cost to staying invisible: the opportunities you never receive, the people you never meet, and how your ideas will never who needed them. Right now I'm sat at my local Starbucks tapping away at my keyboard. Out of nowhere, a young guy pulls up directly opposite me and introduces himself. "Hey, I'm Devon. Do you day-trade?" Instantly hesitant, I put an earphone in and say politely: "Not currently no, but yes I do stuff online." He was so close to me he was almost drinking my matcha. "OK. It's just I'm 17 in college right now and I'm trying to invest in myself and my future." Instantly I'm smiling - it's hard to ignore that...
