Today's email is sponsored by Constant Contact. I Really Regret ThisFirstly, hats off to the creators who do it all. It’s not easy to create content—to handle everything yourself, from filming and editing to writing, designing, and staying consistent with it all. That’s why I started Amplify in the first place. I was doing everything myself for Ali Abdaal, Chris Williamson, and Cliff Weitzman (CEO of Speechify). I was good at copywriting, great at strategy (I loved it), but when short-form video started to blow up, I knew I couldn’t keep editing videos for them too. Don’t let technical challenges be the reason you stop doing what you love. I learned this the hard way. For years, I stepped away from YouTube because the technical side felt overwhelming. It drained the joy out of creating.
None of it came naturally to me, and I let it hold me back. But here’s the truth: There’s always someone who loves that stuff. There’s always someone who’s great at it. Too often, we hold ourselves back because we’re uncomfortable, afraid, or lacking skills in certain areas. That’s no excuse. Your expertise has value, and there are always people who can fill the gaps where your strengths don’t lie. If you’re not putting yourself out there, you’re not just limiting yourself—you’re keeping your knowledge from the people who need it. I waited for years, and I massively regret it. I still fall back into old patterns, but now, it feels like a disservice to those I can help. Nowadays, I remind myself: "This is not hard. It’s just new." So stop waiting. Find your team. Double down on what you do best.
